The Museum Building is currently under construction and not open to the public at this time.
We look forward to seeing you in early 2021.
To the Bronx Children's Museum Community,
Bronx Children’s Museum is following NYC Department of Education's (DOE) direction regarding school closings due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
Currently, the Museum is unable to provide its regularly scheduled programming in schools and after-school programs.
The Museum has also suspended all participation and appearances at scheduled public events. This includes appearances at all public festivals and all scheduled visits by the Museum On the Go! bus.
We will be monitoring updates from the DOE regarding the school closings and the NYC Department of Health, DOE, CDC, and the Federal Government regarding the operation of public venues. We will keep you updated as the situation develops.
Bronx Children’s Museum
Imagine a place where children become explorers, storytellers, scientists, musicians, chefs or anything they can dream up. Bronx Children’s Museum seeks to inspire children, along with their families and caregivers, to learn about themselves within the richness and diversity of their surroundings and beyond, and to become stewards of the planet.

Little Friends of Orchard Beach
Little Friends of Orchard Beach is a program based on the flora, fauna, and archaeological history of Pelham Bay Park and Orchard Beach. Students learn about the largest park in New York City, which contains the only beach in the Bronx, while examining the role that the Native American Siwanoy played in the environmental development of the area.
Our newest after-school program, held at Roberto Clemente State Park, invites children to imagine, design, and prototype art that will inspire actual site-specific installations in the new Museum facility, which will then be created by local commissioned artists.
OUR FUTURE HOME
Our future home, located in Mill Pond Park along the Harlem River, is well under way. Exciting exhibits are currently being developed while the interior space is undergoing construction! We're excited to see it all come together!
