ARLENE LEWIS BASCOM is the President of the Board of Directors of Bronx Children’s Museum. She is the Chief Financial Officer for Green-Wood, a national historic landmark which includes The Green-Wood Cemetery and The Green-Wood Historic Fund. Ms. Lewis Bascom’s family emigrated from the island of Jamaica and settled in the Bronx in the mid-1970s. They resided in the northeast section of the borough and Ms. Lewis Bascom recently moved back to the Bronx. She is a graduate of SUNY-Fashion Institute of Technology with a concentration in Buying and Merchandising. She also earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Pace University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Her passion for enriching and empowering the lives of children through learning outside of the traditional
environment propelled her to join the Museum’s Board.
