Natural Science (STEAM), Arts & Culture, and Literacy Programs
The Bronx is bursting with art, culture, and nature everywhere you look. It is, in fact, the very Nature of the Bronx. Bronx Children’s Museum offers a unique collection of educational STEAM-, art- and culture-based lessons through which children can become explorers of the Bronx and discover what makes their home so special.
Lessons
LaunchBoxes for Partner Schools
Our Museum Educators typically bring all materials and supplies needed for in-school and afterschool program visits. In order to maintain social distancing, proper hygiene measures, and to accommodate virtual learning, individual LaunchBoxes containing all the materials needed to participate in the lessons and activities are available to children at Museum partner schools registered for the Nature of the Bronx programs.
LaunchBoxes are not available to individuals not enrolled in a Nature of the Bronx program at a partner school, but many of the supplies are common items you might have in your home or classroom!
All Nature of the Bronx video lessons, teacher resource guides and student worksheets are free and available for all to view and use on their own with their own materials and supplies.
