MUSEUM GUIDE
The Bronx Children's Museum is seeking talented educators and teaching artists to guide children through our mobile exhibit "Waters On the Go!" The exhibit is housed in the Bronx Children's Museum bus that travels to schools, community organizations and shelters within the South Bronx.
Museum Guides travel to these locations and guide children between the ages of 4-9 years old to learn about the natural environment of the Bronx through hands-on, inquiry-based science and arts activities.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Ideal applicants should:

Possess a college degree (minimum A.A.)

Have a background in and a passion for children, the arts, or environmental education

Be bilingual (Spanish preferred)

Live in the Bronx
HOURS
This work is part time, and scheduling is flexible. Guides typically work 10-15 hours/week during the season. Guides must be able to work weekends as well as weekdays. This position is mostly seasonal, with work from April-October, with the possibility of continuing into the fall and winter when the physical museum opens to the public.
COMPENSATION: $18/hr.
Applications are due by Friday, March 6 with interviews held on Thursday, March 12 and Friday, March 13. If hired, Educators must be available for a three-day (paid) training March 25-27.
