11 AM TO 4:00 PM - MILL POND PARK

Description

ArtSpot 2019 focused on themes of engineering and adaptation, providing activities such as bridge building, LED sculptures, and nature printmaking. Using the  specimens from the Museum's mobile suitcase and mobile Museum bus as a starting point, children learned about natural processes such as the water cycle, metamorphosis and animal adaptations through different artistic mediums.

Testimonials

  • “Thank you guys for all you do – I’m a single mom, my daughter and I came to ArtSpot on the first day and have come back every week since. She LOVES all these activities. I’m always looking for events like this to take her to where she can interact with kids, learn about art and science, and be free to play and explore in a safe space. We can’t wait for the Museum to open!” — Andrea and Tessa, ArtSpot Participants

  • "I didn’t know what to expect as my son Zavier and I found the flyer for this past weekend Art Event. I brought him expecting for him to learn alone and I became a student as well. It was a great time we had in the comfort of the Bronx. Hope to visit all future activities available. Thank you to Bronx Museum and Staff for an awesome day.” — Christopher O’Connor
